The Benefits of Therapy
What Is Psychoeducational Testing
Psychoeducational testing is a comprehensive evaluation that assesses an individual’s cognitive, academic, emotional, and behavioral functioning. These tests help identify learning strengths and challenges, attention and memory skills, problem-solving abilities, and emotional or behavioral concerns.
Commonly used measures include:
- Intelligence & Achievement: WISC-V, WPPSI-IV, WAIS-IV, WIAT-IV
- Memory & Executive Functioning: WMS-IV, DKEFS, Conners CPT, BRIEF-2
- Behavior & Emotional Functioning: BASC-3, Beck Youth and Adult Inventories, SCL-90
- Personality & Clinical Assessments: MCMI-IV, MMPI-3
- Specialized Assessments: Autism rating scales
Testing provides a detailed understanding of an individual’s unique learning and cognitive profile, guiding interventions, academic planning, and therapeutic support.
